We are very excited to have finally launched our new website design to make it more user friendly and composite then ever!

You’ll see things are looking pretty different around here and it’s all been completely re-coded from the ground up. Versko is now a fully responsive website. So no matter where you are, you can access us easier than ever.

A few of our goals with the new website were to make it faster, easier to navigate for users and update it to current generation standards. Most of all, we wanted to help our clients get to know us better.

If you take a browse around the site I think you’ll get a pretty good idea of who we are and what we do as a company and much more.

Versko Is Ten Years Old

Back in 2001 we were not focussed on 2011, it was a case of launching a new company as a spin out from QSP Group.

We were fortunate to have great customers, Boots Hearing Care, Scottish Citylink and the SECC were amongst our first clients and we are very proud they are still with us.

Caledonian MacBrayne in Gourock have been with us for the same length of time, and we are very proud to have such loyal customers and staff.

We have expanded our services over the ten years, now offering the complete design, development and management of our solutions to those that need an end-to end service.

We have launched new products, such as vQueue, and supported other ventures such as Blipfoto, GuideMeTours,and more recently My1Login.

New Ticketing System For Parks of Hamilton

Following success with Scottish Citylink, Irish Citylink and Stagecoach, Versko is delighted to have won the contract to develop online sales system for Parks of Hamilton. Versko will develop a new online system for Parks of Hamilton, and then manage the new system on a day-to-day basis. A robust and easy to use system for customers are key design requirements, and Versko was chosen for it’s track record and expertise in this area.

Versko Launch Lotus Notes/Domino Outsource Service

Versko has signed a partnership agreement with brightsolid, Scotland’s leading supplier of Microsoft outsource services for Exchange and associated products, to provide Lotus based offerings. Lotus eMail and collaboration products such as Notes and Domino, Sametime and Quickr have a 40% market share and due to the rich application development environment customers often have significant investment in mission critical applications built on Lotus technologies. By combining the lower cost of outsourcing with the expertise in the Lotus and wider IBM product sets, Versko and brightsolid are able to offer outsource services for eMail, collaboration and applications on both the Lotus and Microsoft platforms. Versko Appointed IBM Optim Reseller

Building on Versko’s skills in DB2, IBM have appointed Versko as one of 5 UK based resellers of IBMs’ Optim Data Management software. Optim was the core product of Princeton Softech acquired by IBM in 2007 and is the industry leading Data Management tool for test data creation, data privacy and masking and data archiving. As an IBM Premier Partner specialising in DB2 devlopment, Versko is a natural choice of reseller as we face the same challenges as many of our customers in the areas that Optim addresses. Versko Spin-out vQueue Product Into New Company

Versko today completed the spin-out of a new company vQueue Limited. The new company will develop, market and support the vQueue product. A funding round of £250k has been secured to develop a production version of the early prototypes designed by Versko in 2006. The new company will launch a new website in September 2008 (vqueue.co.uk) which will contain more information about the first product. vQueue is a software product that manages peak loads on web systems by placing users in a queue only allowing access to the target system when capacity becomes available. The benefits to customers are in maintaining a service during extreme load which protects revenue streams, maintains service levels and enhances customer satisfaction. Initial interest has come from the the Ticketing, Gaming and Betting, and Commerce sectors.

Versko Approved Sub-Contractor To IBM Software

IBM today completed the approval of Versko as an approved sub-contractor to IBM Software Services for Lotus (ISSL). The new partnership with ISSL allows IBM to use Versko skills and expertise on IBM ‘Blue’ contracts. Versko has key IBM accredited skills in Lotus, WebSphere and DB2 brands which have been identified by the team in ISSL for potential work in IBM Services contracts mainly in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Managing Director of Versko commented “This is a true endorsement from IBM as to our skills in the market, we are delighted to be selected by IBM for this new working partnership.
